The SEARCH for Wellbeing Online Positive Psychology Course for Teachers has been designed by internationally renown thought leader, academic and author, Professor Lea Waters AM, PhD who brings decades of her research to life in this interactive, on-demand course. Learn about key concepts from the fields of positive psychology and education and how you can utilise the ideas to support the wellbeing of students, your colleagues and yourself.
Professor Waters guides you through the SEARCH framework’s 6 pathways to wellbeing: Strengths, Emotional Management, Attention & Awareness, Relationships, Coping and Habits & Goals.

SEARCH is an evidence-based framework developed through a long term research program by Professor Waters in the fields of positive psychology and education.
The framework is based on data from over 18,000 peer-reviewed psychology studies published over a 20 year time-frame in combination with action-research from Professor Waters and direct experience of Lea and her team working with 100+ schools across the globe.
As you progress through each module you will have the opportunity to learn the science behind each pathway and work through exercises to help you apply strategies for wellbeing in your classroom that integrate with academic learning.

Within each module is a combination of videos from Professor Waters, narrated Powerpoint presentations, activities and discussion boards to guide you through the research and practical examples of how to apply each pathway to wellbeing in a school environment.

+ When do enrolments open/close?
You can enrol at any time as the course is asynchronous - you work at your own pace and complete the modules within a timeframe that is comfortable for you.
+ Are there any pre-requisites or anything else I need in order to start?
Just a passion for learning and internet access.
+ Do I get to connect with Professor Waters at any stage throughout the course?
Keep an eye out once you are enrolled as Prof Waters will be online for bi-annual Q&A sessions where you can connect and ask questions.
